We spent a Saturday following the Bench. You should, too.

Insured and TSSA-licensed in Ontario since 2011. Fourteen seasons on these roads.

A curated day on the Bench — three wineries, a vineyard lunch, golden-hour stops — planned and driven by someone who knows the roads.

No. 03 The Particulars
I.

Route planned by someone who lives here

We know Niagara Stone Road, York Road, and the 19-minute backup at Concession 3 when tour buses converge.

II.

Three wineries, not six

We spend 90 minutes at each stop — long enough to taste, sit with the winemaker, and understand the vineyard, not rushed stampedes.

III.

Fixed price for the car and the day

No surge pricing, no per-seat splitting, no hidden fees. You book the vehicle; we handle the route.

IV.

Lunch at a vineyard table

We stop at one of four standing-reservation spots — Bench spots, not NOTL town — so you eat with the escarpment in view.

No. 07 Letters from Readers
We didn't know the Bench from the Falls. Adrien mapped a Saturday that felt like a private magazine feature — three wineries, no crowds, lunch we'll remember.
The fixed price meant no surprises. The driving meant we could actually taste and talk, not white-knuckle the QEW back to the city.
No. 08 Questions & Answers

What readers usually ask.

How far is Niagara-on-the-Lake from Toronto?

48 minutes via the QEW in light traffic. We recommend a 6:45 a.m. pickup for a 7:45 a.m. arrival and a relaxed first tasting at 8:30 a.m.

Can we book a Monday or weekday tour instead of Saturday?

Yes. Weekday tours run Tuesday–Friday; Saturday is preferred for availability at the three reserve spots. Sunday tours are available but add 15 minutes to lunch reservations.

What if someone doesn't drink or wants to skip a winery?

We can sub in the Niagara Culinary Institute kitchen tour, a cheese-and-charcuterie stop at the Bench Market, or a scenic walk at the Escarpment Lookout.

Is the price the same for 1 person, 2 people, and 4 people?

Yes. The fixed price covers the vehicle and the day — it doesn’t change with passenger count between 1 and 4.

What's included in the "lunch at a vineyard table" part?

We handle the reservation and coordinate timing. You pay for your food and wine separately at the restaurant — typically $45–$95 per person for a three-course lunch.

Can we request specific wineries instead of the three you recommend?

We recommend based on what’s quiet, what’s been a good fit for other guests, and what’s interesting that vintage. If you have two must-sees, we’ll include one and suggest a third.

What happens if weather is bad?

A rainy Saturday doesn’t cancel — the Bench is beautiful in grey light, and covered tasting rooms are the norm. We proceed as planned unless there’s a weather warning from the NOTL area.

How do we book and what's the deposit?a: Email Adrien with your date, party size, and any dietary notes. We'll send a fixed quote and a 30% deposit holds your date. Balance due 7 days prior.

Is there flexibility if our group wants to stay longer at one winery?

Yes — we keep the return time loose. If you’re deep in conversation at Stratus at 6:15 p.m., we adjust. The flat price accounts for this.

Can we add an evening wine bar stop in NOTL after the tour?

Absolutely. We can drop you at Trius’ rooftop or Kurtz Orchards’ bar for a sunset glass before the drive back to Toronto.

Plan your Saturday on the Bench.

Tell us your date and party size. We’ll map three wineries, a lunch table, and a fixed price — all within the hour.
